- 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 ½ cups shredded Gruyère cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter. Thinly slice potatoes and arrange a single layer in the dish.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream with garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour half of the cream sauce over the first potato layer. Sprinkle with half of the Gruyère and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 20-25 minutes more until golden and bubbly. Rest 10 minutes before serving.
