Ingredients

  • For the bread: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup milk, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted), 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the cinnamon swirl: 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp ground cinnamon, 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry, stirring until just combined.
  4. For the cinnamon swirl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Repeat layers.
  6. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with glaze if desired.
